Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc. [Representative Director: Makoto Asanuma, Address: Suginami-ku, Tokyo] will hold "Rumiko Takahashi Original Story & Design × SUNRISE Brand Work Fair - We are connected to tomorrow" (hereinafter "Rumiko Takahashi Original Story & Design × Brand Work Fair") at 6 stores* of "SUNRISE WORLD" from March 14 (Sat) to celebrate the broadcast of "TV Anime MAO". ～(hereinafter referred to as "Rumiko Takahashi Original Story & Original Design × SUNRISE Brand Works Fair") will be held at six " " stores (*).

The target works are three animated works from the SUNRISE brand, which is based on the original story and draft by Rumiko Takahashi: "Inuyasha," which was serialized in "Weekly Shōnen Sunday" from 1996 to 2008 and continues to enjoy worldwide popularity; "Half Demon Princess Yasha," which inherits its world view; and the latest work "TV Anime MAO," which will begin airing on April 4 (Sat.). Commemorating the broadcast of "TV Animation MAO", "Rumiko Takahashi Original Story & Original Design × SUNRISE Brand Works Fair - We are connected to tomorrow. ~"

The "Rumiko Takahashi Original Story and Original Design × SUNRISE Brand Works Fair" will sell new original products featuring key visuals newly drawn by Yoshihito Hishinuma, the animation character designer for the three works, as well as art prints that include shaded original drawings and finished illustrations of each work.

In addition, trading wooden magnets and seven other items are scheduled to go on sale in May.

To commemorate the start of the TV anime "MAO," we will be exhibiting a newly drawn illustration by Rumiko Takahashi.
*Until May 24th (Sun), the exhibit will be displayed in the showcase at the entrance of "Bandai Namco Cross Store Tokyo," and from May 25th (Mon) onwards, it will be displayed in the showcase inside "SUNRISE WORLD TOKYO."

About "SUNRISE WORLD "
The store is currently being developed as a place where customers can see, learn, and enjoy the more than 300 SUNRISE brand works that have been created so far, through free exhibitions such as photo spots, sales of original goods, and a cafe corner. Currently, the store is being held at six locations: Tokyo, Yokohama, Hakata, Kyoto, Sendai, and Koshigaya LakeTown.

Work Information

Inuyasha.

Inuyasha" (original story by Rumiko Takahashi) was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Sunday from 1996 to 2008. The TV anime "Inuyasha" was broadcast in 2000, followed by the TV anime "Inuyasha: The Complete Works" in 2009, and four movies have been released in theaters. The series has been developed in a variety of contents, and continues to be a very popular work loved by many fans.

The Half-Demon Yasha-hime."

The TV anime "Hanyou no Yasha Hime" is a new story that inherits the world of "Inuyasha" (original story by Rumiko Takahashi). The main characters are Towa and Setsuna, the twin daughters of Sesshomaru and Rin, and Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, and the first chapter (24 episodes) was broadcasted from October 2020, and the second chapter (24 episodes) from October 2021. Rumiko Takahashi participated in the main character design, Teruo Sato and Masakazu Hishida directed the first and second chapters, respectively, Katsuyuki Sumisawa composed the series (this work consists of his original story), Yoshihito Hishinuma was the animation character designer and chief animation director, and Kaoru Wada was in charge of music. The staff who worked on the Inuyasha anime series have reunited to create a new Sengoku Gogaisosho.

TV animation MAO

Rumiko Takahashi's latest work, MAO, will begin serialization in 2019 and is currently serialized in Weekly Shōnen Sunday (Shogakukan). The anime will begin airing on April 4, 2026 (Saturday). Animation production will be handled by SUNRISE. SUNRISE The first time that the "Inuyasha" series has been produced by since the "Inuyasha" series, which is based on the original work by Rumiko Takahashi. An immersive dark fantasy and time-slip mystery that transcends time has finally begun!
