Discarded vehicle data system
If you have used the Tuning card more than the specified times, you need to "Update the Card". When you reach episode 20 in story mode, the letters "Discarded vehicle data", not "Used", will be printed on the card.
* "Discarded vehicle data" is automatically created when updating the card.

This "Discarded vehicle data" card can be used to create up to 2 cards for machines with 600 HP. Cards for machines with 600 HP created there are called "600 HP cards".
The "600 HP card" has the characteristics shown below:
  • You can select a name.
  • The car type is the same as that in "Discarded vehicle data".
  • You can select a body color.
  • Power Tuning: Reached the 10th stage
  • Handling Tuning: Reached the 10th stage
  • Story mode: Reached episode 20
  • Records from time Attack, race results and mileage return to their original settings.
    The card enables you to start the game from the point that you reached before.
You can make a "600 HP card" as follows:
  1. Insert coins into the Wangan Maximum Tune 3 machine and start the game.
  2. Insert the "Discarded vehicle data" when the "Insert the card" screen appears.
  3. You will then be asked "Do you want to create 600 HP card?"
    If you insert a coin for one card, a "600 HP card" will be created.
  4. Your usage conditions will be printed on the "Discarded vehicle data card" and the card will be discharged.
  5. Enter the card name for the "600 HP card".
  6. The card data confirmation screen will appear. You can then play the game as usual.
    In Story mode, the game starts from episode 21.
* "Discarded vehicle data " is printed on the "Discarded vehicle data card".
"" shows your usage status.
"Discarded vehicle data "will be printed on the first "600 HP card" that you create.
If you create two "600 HP cards", then "Discarded vehicle data "will be printed, and this indicates that the card is "used".
Cards with "Discarded vehicle data " cannot be used anymore.

Examples: How to use the "Discarded vehicle data card" and "600 HP card"
Example 1) "I put in so much effort and finally reached 800 HP. But then I lost the card!"
If this happens, you can create a "600 HP card" with the same name by using the "Discarded vehicle data card". It is not a complete backup, but it is much better than starting from 0 tuning all over again!
Example 2) "I want to play Wangan Maximum 3 with a friend. I have a card with 600 HP, but my friend has never played this game. My HP is 600 and my friend's is 280, so it is obvious what the results of the battle will be. But it's no fun not playing properly and giving my friend a chance...."
In this case, you can give your friend your Discarded vehicle data card" and have him make a "600 HP card". With this solution, you can enjoy battles between equals.
Example 3) "I have finally tuned my favorite car to 800 HP. I want to try this in another car, but it will cost a lot if I start tuning from the beginning..."
In this case, you should ask a friend to lend you a "Discarded vehicle card" for the car you want, and use the card to create a "600 HP card" with a name that you choose. It is much less expensive than starting from the beginning!
