Q1	What are Tuning cards?

In Wangan Midnight Maximum 3DX Plus, your game results can be stored on a ‘Tuning Card’. Various data is stored on the card, including the car and name you chose when playing the game. Cards make Wangan Midnight Maximum 3DX Plus even more enjoyable!

Q2	Can I play the game without buying a tuning card?

You can play the game without this card. However, without a tuning card your data, like the car you chose, won’t be saved and you can't play Ghost Versus Battle Mode.

Q3	Where can I buy a tuning card?

You can buy tuning cards from Wangan Maxi 3DX Plus game machines. Start the game and select ‘No’ in ‘Do you have a card’ screen. The ‘Do you want to purchase a card?’ screen will appear. You can buy a card by following the instructions on the screen. If you play Story Mode without buying a card, the ‘Do you want to purchase a card’ screen appears again after the game. If you buy a card at this time, it will record your previous game.

Q4	What do the letters on the card mean?

The letters shown below are printed on the card.
The letters change depending upon your results in the game.

Name	The name you entered (up to 5 characters) is printed on the card.
3DX+	This shows that your card is for Wangan Maxi 3DX Plus
Card Number	Cards are printed with a card number. In Ghost Versus Battle Mode, you can search for and select opponents using this number.
Car Type	The type and manufacturer of your car is printed on the card. Data for one car is stored on one card.
Title	Your current level and title are printed on the card.
Horsepower	Power (P) and handling (H) corresponding to your tuning status is printed on the card.
Clear	The number of episodes you have completed in Story Mode is printed on the card. If you are unbeaten, the characters will appear in outline. If you lose even once, they will appear in solid black.
Consecutive victories	Your number of consecutive victories in Story Mode is printed on the card.
Episodes cleared	The number of episodes you have completed in Story Mode is printed on your card.
Mileage	The total mileage is printed on the card.
Password	A password for the Internet ranking for Time Attack and Mileage is printed on the card. The uppercase letters indicate the password for Time Attack, and the lowercase letters indicate the password for Mileage. The password that is printed on your card can be set in the card data confirmation screen (9/9).

Cards can be used up to 60 times. When the card reaches its usage limit, the data on the card can be transferred to a new card using [Renew Card], allowing you to continue the game.

Q5	Do Tuning Cards ever run out?

The card does run out after 60 games, however the data stored on the card can be transferred to a new card. Cards run out because they are magnetic, and their magnetic properties deteriorate as you use them. The number of times that characters can be printed on cards is also limited.

Q6	When you reach the 60 game limit, do you have to stop playing the game?

When you have played 60 games with your Tuning Card, you need to renew the card. This will transfer your data to a new card and allow you to carry on from where you left off.

Q7	When I renewed my card, a ‘Present Card’ came out the machine. What is this?

A Present Card is a card that allows somebody to play five times using almost the same tuning status that you had on your old card.

Q8	When I renewed my card, a message appeared saying ‘New Body Color Obtained’. What is this?

You can change your car’s body color when you renew your card. Every time you renew your card, you will get one extra color to choose from when you change your car's color, up to a maximum of ten colors. Body color does not affect your car’s performance, so pick whatever color you think looks best.

Q9	Can I change the name on the card?

You can’t change the name on the card after you’ve chosen it.
Please choose a few names before playing the game.
Words that are not generally acceptable in polite society cannot be used in card names.

Q10	Can I change the car type on the card?

You can’t change the car type on the card after you’ve chosen it.
Please choose a car you like from the[Available Cars]section.

Q11	Can I change the body color on the card?

You get a new body color (up to a maximum of ten) every time you renew the card (after 60 games). When you renew your card, you can change your car’s body color to one of the body colors you have obtained.
Default body color can be chosen only when you register your car type.
